Pesaro, “My Hometown S.P.A.C.E”

Liceo Artistico "Ferruccio Mengaroni" – Pesaro

The Liceo Artistico Mengaroni , at the end of two years of activities in the European Comenius project " My Hometown SPACE", opens the doors of their school and the city of Pesaro to a delegation of about 30 pupils and teachers from the partner schools of Tarnowskie Gory-Poland, Ciudad Real-Spain and Osmanyie-Turkey.

 

 

All participating schools have worked around the central theme of the project that concerns, as can be easily seen from the title, the urban space considered at the same time as a home but also as a sort of a small country in which we can recognize and realize the principles contained in the acronym SPACE (SEARCH, PASSION, AMBITION, CREATIVITY, EUROPE).
 

 

 

Participating schools were free to choose how to decline the concepts of research, passion , ambition, creativity and Europe related to their city.　The Liceo Mengaroni identified, as a starting point, the definition of Pesaro as the city of 6 Ms that is traditionally attributed to her.

Here you are some pictures of students working in a new MHT SPACE proposal within Artistic Drawing subject.

The main idea is to mix in a drawing two moment in the history of a city place. The students are basing it in two pictures, one old and one new photograph of the same place. It's like two parallels worlds in one.

 

They can select anything that appears in both photographs and merge it just in a drawing. Also they can choose the fine art technique that fits better with their idea. We'll see the final works on Pesaro and Osmaniye Comenius meetings.
